Industrial Diamond Association of India - IDAI is proud for achieving the objectives set for itself. We have outlined future agenda to achieve BEYOND 2000 targets. We are well poised to interact for each others benefits. It is an association for people who are manufacturing the tools used in various fields in construction industry. It has entered into the new millennia, keeping the original objectives with cautious optimism. It works on the promotion o f the superabrasive tools on a far base worldwide. There is a immense arrival for this at the end o f the 25-year journey. It is spreading new applications in the domestic and world market with this Jubilee Year. The new office will be the launching site to propel this game-plan.
Under the liberalised policy, the tool manufacturer stands completely exposed to competetion from all over the world. The very fact that he stands up to it is a measure for his ability to produce quality tool suited to native conditions. Close interaction between the user and the manufacturer is the need for the day for continous improvements so that we can prosper together. Let us work towards this common endeavour. The special article in this issue hard facts are aimed at providing useful information for a better understanding the correct usage the diamon d tools in the processing different stones.
It is time for celebrations. Deservedly so, because not only it swell its membership from 11 to nearly 100 today, but it continued to remain a coherent body, always echoing in one voice for the collective benefit for its members. With the reform process set in motion by the government the redressals have receded. Exposed as we are, to the winds change, we should formulate strategies to dish out the advantages rather than look for protection. Find more on this -- 'BEYOND 2000'.
Needless to stress it is collective energy for the members working towards a common goal that can only achieve anything worthwhile. The scope for this exercise is enormously larger than if it were to be attempted by a single organisation.
At the outset, congratulations to the All Granites & Stone Organisation who have ventured on to stage this stupendous exhibition-what could be the biggest Stone Show in Asia staged yet.
While contributing to the national growth, it would also have the satisfaction with the individual growth its members. This is second issue hard facts after its inaugral issue published in july 95. The occasion is the prestigious Stona 96 stone fair being held at Banglore from 1st to 4th feb 1996. Once again wishing stona 96 a roaring success.
As you go round the fair you will meet them exhibiting their tools with a sense for pride that can only come after years dedication and commitment to excellence.
